“I retired from the military after 20 years, continued to run 3 miles a day, and felt great. To keep up my pilot’s license, the FAA requires me to have a physical. This year they requested I get a nuclear stress test because I have had fluctuating blood pressure issues in the past. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Anthony Morales at Lakeview Regional. The stress test revealed that I needed an angiogram.

Dr. Anthony Morales and Dr. John Breaux performed the angiogram in August and found I had 98% blockage in my left descending artery and I needed immediate surgery. I stayed in the hospital for five days. The people at Lakeview Regional were beautiful to work with. I have never been treated so well by hospital staff and medical personnel before—from those cleaning the floors and bringing the food to the nurses and doctors—they are angels amongst us!

I decided I needed to do something to thank them, so I planned a visit to the hospital one day. It just so happened that I ended up in the elevator with Hiral Patel, Lakeview’s CEO and I told her about my wonderful experience in the hospital and that they gave me a new lease on life. I can’t say enough good things about each one of them.

Today, just less than 3 months later, I am feeling great again. I ran a mile the other day and I’m already back flying.”
